The local where is located Vaga Splash has been modified since a lot of years ago.

Claudino dos Santos Costa had a great vision of future and the dream to see the land to grow and to prosper. In 1966, with the objective of promoting the beginning of the urban development of the "Praia da Vagueira", it initiated the selt of lots of land, at the cost of 2$50/m2, arriving, inclusively, to offer some.

Having been born humble, it was the producing greater of potatoes of the region and the great beginner and booster of the development of the Beach of Vagueira. As recognition and homage for its devotion to its land, the main avenue of Beach of Vagueira, that binds laughs it to the sea, was inaugurated in 1988 with the name of "Claudino dos Santos Costa".

After his death, the widower and its six children had kept its persistence in the promotion and development of Beach of Vagueira and, in 1983, had built the first phase of the enterprise “Rainha Santa” (1º block of apartments of Beach of Vagueira). Its example was followed by other entrepreneurs of the region, who had initiated the construction of new buildings.

However, in 1985, in the called place “Quinta do Rato” (part of the old one "Quinta do Inglês"), they had proceeded to the recovery and transformation from a there existing corral of cows, originating, of this form, what it came to be one of the most known bars of the region of Aveiro: "O Labrego".

In 1989 they had constituted the Costasitur company, with the intention of better managing the existing lands and buildings and developing the tourist promotion of the Beach of Vagueira. They had initiated, then, the construction of the Aquatic Park Vaga Splash in the adjacent space to then the existing bar "O Labrego".

The inauguration was verified in 1990 and since then until the present he has been authorized to the veraneantes the access for its land to the beach. Still had been constructed 15 bungalows (today there are 20), with excellent conditions of habitability and comfort, that had come to complement already widened offers of existing services in the complex. Today also has the capacity to receive, in their vicinity, campervans, providing the necessary services to such vehicles.

The aquatic park Vaga Splash continues, year after year, to improve its conditions, of form to be able to offer to its pleasant visitors moments of joy and good disposal to it, with the security maximum.
